What is the ICS006?
The RAINPOINT ICS006 is a digital water flow meter designed for standard residential garden watering applications.
Once installed in the water line, the meter can display water-use information directly on its LCD screen.
The ICS006 provides four measurement modes:
- FLOW MODE – Displays the real-time water flow.
- CONSUMPTION MODE – Measures water consumption for a single watering session.
- AVG MODE – Displays the average daily water consumption for the last 7 days.
- TOTAL MODE – Displays accumulated water consumption until manually reset.
The device also supports gallon/liter unit switching, data reset, low-battery indication, and energy-saving standby.

Before You Start
1. Install the CR2032 battery
The ICS006 uses: 1 × CR2032 battery
The battery is included.
To install the battery:
- Hold the handles on both sides of the display and pull the display outward.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Insert the CR2032 battery according to the polarity markings.
- Firmly reinstall the battery cover.
- Reinstall the display into the flow meter body.
2. Keep the pre-assembled configuration
The manual specifically recommends using the ICS006 in its:
Out-of-Box Pre-Assembled order
to reduce the risk of leakage.
The central components identified as fittings 2, 3, and 4 should remain assembled and should not be separated.
3. Select the correct regional connector
The ICS006 includes different outer fittings for USA and EU thread standards.
- USA: NH thread
- EU: BSP thread
Use the correct outer adapter for the faucet or downstream watering connection.
4. Install in the correct water-flow direction
Follow the water-flow direction shown on the product.
Correct flow direction is important for measurement accuracy.
5. Check all connections
Make sure:
- The correct fitting is used.
- The fitting order has not been changed.
- All connections are secure.
- There is no visible leakage.
6. Start with FLOW MODE
After water begins flowing, briefly press the button to cycle through the available measurement modes.
For first-time testing, use:
FLOW MODE
to confirm that real-time flow is displayed.
