This page serves as the support and reference center for the RAINPOINT HTP160FRF Wi-Fi Outdoor Solar Automatic Drip Irrigation Pump Kit.
If the model number on your pump is HTP160FRF, you are in the correct place.
This model is designed to work with the RAINPOINT HWG023WBRF Gateway for smart control through the RainPoint Home app, including watering schedules, manual watering, device status, and watering records.
What is the HTP160FRF?
The RAINPOINT HTP160FRF is a Wi-Fi-enabled solar automatic drip irrigation pump designed to draw clean cold water from a water container and deliver it directly to plants through a drip irrigation system.
For smart control, the pump communicates with the included HWG023WBRF Gateway, while the Gateway connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
Once connected to the RainPoint Home app, watering schedules, manual watering, Rain Delay, device status, and watering records can be managed from the app.
The pump also includes an integrated solar panel for daily charging and supports USB-C charging when sunlight is insufficient.

2. Prepare a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network
The Gateway requires a 2.4 GHz private Wi-Fi network.
Public Wi-Fi networks are not recommended.
3. Connect the Gateway first
Connect the HWG023WBRF Gateway to the RainPoint Home app before adding the HTP160FRF pump.
During Gateway setup, keep the Gateway close to the Wi-Fi router.
4. Add the pump to the Gateway
After the Gateway is online:
Gateway → Add Device → Add New Devices → HTP160FRF
The pump can also be added by scanning its QR code or entering its serial number.
5. Put the pump into pairing mode when needed
Press and hold the Wi-Fi Setup Button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode.
6. Check the Pump–Gateway distance
The pump communicates with the Gateway through a 433 MHz RF signal.
Keep the pump within 492 ft (150 m) of the Gateway under line-of-sight conditions.
Walls, metal objects, and dense plants may reduce the actual communication range.
7. Position the pump correctly
Place the pump at or above the water level of the reservoir.
Do not place the pump below the water level, as this may cause siphoning, backflow, leakage, or unintended watering.
8. Keep the height difference within 6.6 ft (2 m)
For normal installation, the maximum recommended height difference is 6.6 ft (2 m).
9. Use clean cold water only
Keep the inlet filter installed and submerged in the water container.
10. Test the system before regular use
Short press the Manual Watering Button to start the pump.
Check the tubing, fittings, IN/OUT connections, and emitters for proper water flow and leakage before creating regular watering schedules.
