The ITV517P version can be identified by checking the materials of the inlet and outlet connectors. No disassembly or tools are required.
Does the Version Affect Usage
No.
All ITV517P versions:
- Use the same control buttons, dial, and LCD display
- Follow the same programming process
- Support the same Plan 1 / Plan 2 / Plan 3 watering programs
- Support the same Manual Watering and Rain Delay functions
- Operate in the same way when properly installed
The connector material differences do not change the timer’s programming logic or watering functions. The manual confirms the ITV517P uses Plan 1/2/3 together with the same dial and control-button system.
Important Installation Note
Some ITV517P versions use plastic inlet or outlet components.
- To help prevent damage during installation:
- Align the threads carefully before tightening
- Tighten all connections by hand only
- Do not use tools
- Avoid overtightening, especially on plastic connectors
Connector material differences do not affect normal operation when the timer is installed correctly.
