Different connection setups do not represent different product versions.
How to Identify Your TCS024B Soil Moisture Meter
You can identify your TCS024B Soil Moisture Meter by checking the model name on the product label and the single probe with the circular button, LED indicator, and “BEST” insertion mark on the device body. No disassembly or tools are required.
Does the Version Affect Usage?
The current user manual does not identify different TCS024B hardware versions.
However, the product can be used in different connection configurations.
Direct Connection
TCS024B → Smartphone → RainPoint-Tuya App
Suitable for viewing measurements when the phone is within connection range.
Gateway Connection
TCS024B → TWG009BW Gateway → Network → RainPoint-Tuya App
The manual states that the optional TWG009BW Gateway can be used to turn the sensor into a remotely accessible Wi-Fi soil moisture meter.
Smart Watering Setup
The manual also states that, after Gateway connection, the sensor can be paired with:
TTV102B Water Timer
for smart watering.
Installation Note
Connection configuration does not change the physical installation method.
For all configurations:
- Insert the probe into the soil.
- Use the BEST mark as the intended insertion reference.
- Avoid stones around the sensing area.
- Do not force the probe directly into hard soil.
