RAINPOINT IK153 – Overview & Getting Started

The IK153 is a rechargeable automatic drip irrigation pump designed to draw water from a container and deliver it to indoor plants according to a programmed watering schedule.

What is the IK153?

The RAINPOINT IK153 Indoor Irrigation Kit combines a rechargeable water pump, watering timer, and drip irrigation accessories in one system.

The device allows you to configure:

• Current time
• Watering start time
• Watering duration
• Watering frequency
• Cycle & Soak mode

It also provides:

• Manual watering
• 24 / 48 / 72-hour Rain Delay
• Low-battery indication
• Water-shortage detection
• OFF mode without deleting the saved watering program

Before You Start

1. Charge the Pump

Use the supplied USB Type-C cable.

Connect it to a: DC 5V / 1A adapter

The adapter is not included.

When charging is complete, the battery icon remains displayed.

2. Position the Pump Correctly

Do not place the pump below the water level in the container.

The pump should be positioned higher than the water source to help prevent siphoning, leakage, and over-watering.

The applicable height difference is: ≤ 2.5 m (8.2 ft)

3. Connect the Inlet Tubing

The main inlet tubing includes a pre-assembled filter.

1. Measure the required inlet length.
2. Cut the tubing.
3. Connect the cut end to the pump INLET PORT.
4. Place the filter end inside the water container.

4. Install the Anti-Siphon Assembly

Connect the pre-assembled inlet tubing of the anti-siphon assembly to the pump OUTLET PORT.

Important

The anti-siphon assembly is already installed in the correct water-flow direction.

Do not reverse it.

Then connect the remaining 4 mm (1/6") tubing to the OUT side of the anti-siphon assembly.

5. Build the Drip Irrigation Layout

Use:

• 4 mm (1/6") main line
• 3 mm (1/8") branch tubing
• T-shaped barb fittings
• Cross barb fitting
• Micro drip emitters
• End plugs

T-Shaped Barb

Use it to connect: 4 mm main tubing → 3 mm branch tubing

Cross Barb

Use it to split the: 4 mm main tubing into three directions

6. Install the Micro Drip Emitters

Connect one emitter to the end of each branch line.

Loosen the soil first and insert the emitter at least: 8 cm (3 in) into the soil.

7. Flush the Tubing

Before installing the end plugs:

1. Allow water to flow through the open tubing ends.
2. Release trapped air.
3. Install the end plugs.

8. Test the System

Before programming automatic watering:

1. Turn the dial to ON.
2. Start the pump.
3. Confirm that water reaches the plants.
4. Check all tubing connections for leakage.
