RAINPOINT TTV103WRF + TWG004WRF | 1-Zone - Maintenance & Care

This article provides routine maintenance and care guidance for the RAINPOINT TTV103WRF 1-Zone Wi-Fi Water Timer with TWG004WRF Wi-Fi Gateway.

Proper maintenance helps ensure reliable performance, extends product lifespan, and reduces common installation or usage issues.

Cleaning the Inlet Filter

To maintain stable water flow, the inlet filter should be cleaned regularly.

  • Turn off the water supply
  • Remove the timer from the faucet
  • Take out the inlet filter
  • Rinse the filter with clean water to remove dirt or debris
  • Reinstall the filter and reconnect the timer

Regular cleaning helps prevent debris from restricting the water inlet and affecting normal operation. The manual specifically recommends regularly cleaning impurities from the inlet filter.

Winter Storage

If temperatures are expected to drop below freezing:

  • Turn off the water supply
  • Remove the timer from the faucet
  • Drain any remaining water
  • Store the timer indoors in a dry location

The TTV103WRF should be removed from the faucet and stored indoors during freezing conditions to help prevent damage.

Long-Term Storage

If the timer will not be used for an extended period:

  • Remove all batteries from the battery compartment
  • Clean and dry the timer before storage
  • Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Keep the Gateway indoors in a dry location

Removing batteries during long-term storage helps reduce the risk of battery leakage and damage to internal components.

General Care Tips

  • Use 4 × AA alkaline batteries only; do not mix old and new batteries
  • Align the inlet correctly with the faucet threads before tightening
  • Hand-tighten connections only; do not use tools or overtighten
  • Regularly inspect the inlet filter for dirt or debris
  • Use the timer with cold water only
  • Keep the timer away from freezing conditions
  • Keep the TWG004WRF Wi-Fi Gateway indoors
  • Keep the timer and Gateway within a reliable communication range and avoid unnecessary signal obstructions

Following these practices helps maintain stable operation and reliable communication between the timer and Gateway.
