This article explains how to connect and operate the RAINPOINT 1008 10-Pattern Hose Nozzle.
Installation Instructions
Step 1: Check the Hose Connection
Before installation:
- Make sure the garden hose connector is clean.
- Check that the built-in rubber washer is correctly positioned.
- Confirm that the hose uses a compatible 3/4" connection.
Step 2: Connect the Nozzle
Screw the garden hose onto the threaded inlet of the 1008.
Tighten the connection securely by hand.
The manual describes this as a simple screw-on connection between the hose and nozzle.
Step 3: Check for Leakage
Turn on the water and inspect the connection between the garden hose and nozzle.
If the connection leaks:
- Turn off the water.
- Disconnect the garden hose.
- Add a rubber washer.
- Reconnect the garden hose.
- Tighten the connection securely.
- Turn the water back on and check again.
The manual specifically recommends adding a rubber washer when leakage occurs at the connection.
Step 4: Select a Spray Pattern
Rotate the spray head to choose one of the 10 available spray modes:
- FULL
- VERTICAL
- SHOWER
- STREAM
- FLAT
- MIST
- JET
- CENTER
- ANGLE
- CONE
Rotate the spray head until the desired pattern is selected.
Step 5: Adjust the Water Flow
Use the flow-control adjustment on the nozzle to regulate the amount of water.
The adjustment range is: OFF → Maximum
Turn toward OFF to reduce or stop the water flow.
Turn toward Maximum to increase the water flow.
Before Regular Use
Check that:
- The hose is securely connected.
- The rubber washer is installed.
- There is no visible leakage.
- The desired spray pattern has been selected.
- The nozzle is not visibly damaged.
- Water pressure does not exceed 116 PSI / 8 bar.
