This guide introduces the RAINPOINT ITV117 1-Zone Digital Water Timer and covers the essential information you need to set it up and start using it properly.
If your device label displays ITV117, this guide applies to your model.
What Is the ITV117?
The ITV117 is a 1-zone digital water timer designed for automatic outdoor watering. It controls one watering line and can be used with standard garden hoses and common outdoor irrigation setups.
Key Capabilities
The ITV117 supports several watering functions for flexible irrigation:
• Scheduled automatic watering
• Manual watering without changing your programmed schedule
• Rain Delay for temporarily postponing scheduled watering
• Cycle & Soak Mode for dividing watering into shorter irrigation cycles with soaking intervals
The Cycle & Soak feature allows water to be applied gradually, giving the soil more time to absorb and distribute moisture. It can be especially useful for slopes, clay soils, and other conditions where reducing surface runoff is important.
Before You Start
Before installing or using the timer, please make sure you have:
• A compatible 3/4" faucet (NH version for the US; BSP version supports 3/4" or 1" taps)
• 2 new AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included)
• A clean, cold-water supply
For best performance, use the timer outdoors within its specified working conditions and avoid mixing old, new, rechargeable, or carbon-zinc batteries.
Before First Use
After installing the batteries, activate the timer valve before starting normal watering. Valve activation is also recommended after the timer has been inactive for an extended period.
