This article explains how to connect and operate the RAINPOINT MZ256 9-Pattern Heavy Duty Hose Nozzle.
Installation Instructions
Step 1: Check the Hose Connection
Before installation:
- Make sure the garden hose connection is clean.
- Check that the built-in rubber washer is correctly positioned.
- Confirm that the garden hose uses a compatible 3/4" connection.
Step 2: Connect the Nozzle
Simply screw the garden hose onto the MZ256 threaded inlet.
Tighten the connection securely by hand.
The manual shows a direct screw-on connection between the garden hose and nozzle.
Step 3: Turn On the Water
After the hose is securely connected, turn on the water supply.
Keep the operating pressure within the specified range.
Standard Working Pressure
60 PSI (4.1 bar)
Maximum Working Pressure
80 PSI (5.5 bar)
Do not exceed the maximum working pressure.
Step 4: Select a Spray Pattern
Rotate the nozzle head to choose one of the 9 available modes:
- JET
- FULL
- SOAKER
- ANGLE
- FLAT
- VERTICAL
- MIST
- SHOWER
- CONE
Rotate the spray head until the desired mode is selected.
Step 5: Operate the Trigger
Use the trigger to control water spraying.
The MZ256 also includes a Lock Bar Trigger as shown in the product overview.
Use the trigger and lock-bar mechanism according to the desired watering operation.
Before Regular Use
Check that:
- The hose is securely connected.
- The rubber washer is installed.
- The nozzle head rotates normally.
- The selected spray pattern is correctly positioned.
- The product is not visibly damaged.
- Water pressure does not exceed 80 PSI.
- Water temperature does not exceed 115°F / 46°C.
