RAINPOINT 1020 – Installation & Use

This article explains how to connect and operate the RAINPOINT 1020 10-Pattern Hose Nozzle.

Connect the Hose Nozzle

The 1020 uses a 3/4" threaded water inlet.

Step 1: Check the Hose Connection

Make sure the garden hose connection is clean and compatible with the nozzle.

The nozzle includes a built-in rubber washer.

Step 2: Connect the Nozzle

Screw the garden hose onto the nozzle connection.

Tighten the connection securely by hand.

Step 3: Check for Leakage

Turn on the water and check the hose-to-nozzle connection.

If water leaks from the connection, install an additional rubber washer before reconnecting the hose.

The manual provides spare rubber washers for this purpose.

Select a Spray Pattern

Rotate the spray head to select one of the 10 available patterns:

  • FULL
  • VERTICAL
  • SHOWER
  • STREAM
  • FLAT
  • MIST
  • JET
  • CENTER
  • ANGLE
  • CONE

Rotate the spray head completely into the selected position.

A properly selected mode should lock into position.

Adjust the Water Flow

Use the flow-control adjustment on the nozzle to regulate the amount of water.

The control range is: OFF → Maximum

Turn toward OFF to reduce or stop the water flow.

Turn toward Maximum to increase the water flow.

Before Regular Use

Check the following:

  • The garden hose is securely connected.
  • The rubber washer is correctly positioned.
  • The spray head is locked into the selected pattern.
  • The nozzle is not visibly damaged.
  • Water pressure does not exceed 116 PSI.
