If the timer does not operate as expected during installation or regular use, review the common situations below.
Situation 1: The screen is blank or unresponsive
Possible causes
- Batteries are depleted or installed incorrectly
- Strong sunlight or temperature extremes affect the display
What to do
- Replace with 4 new AA alkaline batteries
- Reinstall with correct polarity and seal the battery compartment
- Move to shade, allow it to cool, then check again
Situation 2: Condensation or fog on the screen
Possible causes
- Rapid temperature/humidity changes
- Moisture exposure or poor sealing
What to do
- Make sure the battery cover is fully sealed
- Remove batteries and air-dry 24–48 hours (no heat)
Situation 3: Water leaks from the timer body or connectors
Possible causes
- The inlet washer/filter is missing or not seated properly
- The thread connection is loose or cross-threaded
What to do
- Reseat the inlet washer/filter so it sits flat
- Realign threads and tighten by hand only
- Apply Teflon (thread seal) tape to faucet threads if needed
Situation 4: Low water pressure or weak flow
Possible causes
- The inlet filter/screen is clogged
- Water pressure is too low for the connected load
What to do
- Clean the inlet filter/screen
- Reduce the load (shorter hose/fewer emitters) and retest
Situation 5: No water output or inconsistent watering
Possible causes
- Faucet is off, or IN/OUT is reversed
- The schedule is incomplete or not saved
What to do
- Turn on the faucet and verify INLET → OUTLET
- Confirm each zone has Start Time + Frequency + Duration, then save
Situation 6: Water will not stop or continues flowing
Possible causes
- Valve is not activated after storage
- Debris in the valve or inlet screen
What to do
- Run Manual Watering for 5–7 seconds, then stop; repeat 3–5 times
- Clean the inlet screen/filter and reinstall
Situation 7: One zone does not run
Possible causes
- Zone settings are missing or incorrect
- Rain Delay is active
What to do
- Check Zone 1/2/3 settings and save
- Cancel Rain Delay if needed
Situation 8: Zone schedules overlap
Possible causes
- Two or more zones are scheduled at the same time
What to do
- The timer runs the earliest-start zone first; other zones start after it finishes
- Adjust start times to avoid overlap
Situation 9: Settings are not saved, or the schedule does not run
Possible causes
- Clock/current time is incorrect
- Low battery power
What to do
- Set in order: Clock → Start Time → Frequency → Duration, then confirm on screen
- Replace batteries and reprogram if settings are lost
