Regular maintenance helps ensure stable performance and extends the lifespan of your RAINPOINT ITV101P 1-Zone Digital Water Timer.
Cleaning the Inlet Filter
The inlet filter prevents dirt and debris from entering the timer and affecting water flow.
How to clean the filter
Turn off the faucet and remove the timer.
Remove the inlet filter from the water inlet.
Rinse the filter with clean running water.
Reinstall the filter horizontally before use.
Maintenance tip
Check and clean the filter regularly, especially if your water source contains sediment or if you notice a reduction in water flow.
Winter Storage
The timer is not designed for freezing conditions.
Remove the timer when temperatures drop below 37°F (3°C).
Store it indoors to prevent freeze damage.
Make sure the timer is completely dry before storage.
Failure to remove the timer in freezing weather may cause internal damage.
Long-Term Storage
If the timer is not used for an extended period:
Remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Store the timer in a dry, indoor environment.
Keep it away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
When reinstalling the timer after long-term storage, the activation process may be required before normal use.
General Care Tips
To keep your timer in good condition:
Tighten all connections by hand only (do not use tools).
Avoid overtightening, especially on plastic components.
Use clean, cold water only.
