Why is my TTV102 leaking from the inlet, and how can I fix it?

The TTV102 with plastic inlet and plastic outlet is designed to provide a secure, leak-resistant connection when installed correctly. If water is leaking from the inlet, the cause is usually related to thread sealing, installation method, water pressure, or component condition.

How to Properly Install and Maintain the TTV102

Applicable for Brass or Plastic Inlets & Outlets

• Seal the inlet connection

Apply Teflon® (PTFE) tape to the male threads of the water source before attaching the plastic inlet. Wrap the tape clockwise several turns to ensure a proper seal. Hand-tighten only. Do not use tools, as overtightening may crack or deform the plastic inlet.

• Install the outlet

Connect the hose or irrigation line to the plastic outlet. Hand-tighten only, ensuring proper alignment.

• Install new batteries

Use new AA alkaline, non-rechargeable batteries only.
Use one battery brand and replace all batteries at the same time.
Do not mix old and new batteries or different brands.

• Test the valve

Turn on the water slowly and run a manual watering cycle to confirm proper operation and check for leaks at the inlet.
