How to Properly Install and Maintain the HTV245

Applicable for Brass or Plastic Inlets & Outlets

• Seal the inlet connection

Apply Teflon® (PTFE) tape to the male threads of the water source before attaching the inlet. Wrap the tape clockwise several turns to ensure a proper seal. Hand-tighten only. Do not use tools, as overtightening may crack or deform the inlet.

• Install the outlets

Connect the hoses or irrigation lines to the two outlets. Hand-tighten only, ensuring proper alignment.

• Install new batteries

Use new AA alkaline, non-rechargeable batteries only.
Use one battery brand and replace all batteries at the same time.
Do not mix old and new batteries or different brands.

• Test the valve

Turn on the water slowly and run a manual watering cycle to confirm proper operation and check for leaks at the inlet.
