RAINPOINT DC102 – Installation & Use

This article explains how to connect and operate the RAINPOINT DC102 Adjustable Metal Hose Nozzle.

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Check the Hose Connection

Before installation:

  • Make sure the garden hose connector is clean.
  • Check that the built-in rubber washer is correctly positioned.
  • Confirm that the hose uses a compatible 3/4" connection.

Step 2: Connect the Nozzle

Screw the garden hose onto the nozzle.

Tighten the connection securely by hand.

Step 3: Turn On the Water

Turn on the faucet after the nozzle has been securely connected.

The DC102 has a separate Flow Control Dial, so the water output can be adjusted directly from the nozzle.

Adjust the Water Flow

Use the Flow Control Dial near the rear of the nozzle.

To Reduce Water Flow

Rotate the dial clockwise.

To Increase Water Flow

Rotate the dial counterclockwise.

This allows the water volume to be adjusted independently from the spray pattern.

Adjust the Spray Pattern

Rotate the brass nozzle to change the spray pattern.

The manual describes adjustment through different spray effects including:

  • Fine mist
  • Jet
  • Shower-style spray

Rotate the nozzle gradually until the desired spray pattern is reached.

Do not force the nozzle past its mechanical stop.

Use the Trigger

Press the trigger to start spraying.

Release the trigger to stop spraying.

Use the Trigger-Lock Buckle

For continuous watering:

  1. Press the trigger.
  2. Secure it with the buckle.
  3. The nozzle can continue spraying without continuously holding the trigger.

Release the buckle when continuous spraying is no longer required.

Before Regular Use

Check that:

  • The hose is securely connected.
  • The rubber washer is correctly installed.
  • The Flow Control Dial operates normally.
  • The brass nozzle rotates normally.
  • Water pressure does not exceed 80 PSI.
  • The nozzle is not visibly damaged.
