RAINPOINT D8005 – Installation & Use

This article explains how to connect and operate the RAINPOINT D8005 7-Pattern Heavy-Duty Hose Nozzle.


Installation Instructions

Step 1: Check the Hose Connection

Before installation:

  • Make sure the garden hose connector is clean.
  • Check that the built-in rubber washer is correctly positioned.
  • Confirm that the hose uses a compatible 3/4" connection.

Step 2: Connect the Nozzle

Screw the garden hose onto the nozzle connection.

Tighten the connection securely by hand.

Step 3: Check for Leakage

Turn on the water and inspect the connection between the hose and nozzle.

If leakage occurs:

  1. Turn off the water.
  2. Disconnect the hose.
  3. Check the existing rubber washer.
  4. Add an additional rubber washer if necessary.
  5. Reconnect the hose securely.
  6. Turn the water back on and check again.

The manual states that two rubber washers may be used together when additional sealing is required.

Step 4: Select a Spray Pattern

Rotate the spray head to choose one of the seven available modes:

  • HIGH MIST
  • JET
  • HIGH JET
  • FULL
  • CONE
  • SHOWER
  • FLAT

Rotate the spray head completely into the selected position.

Step 5: Adjust the Water Flow

Use the flow-control adjustment to regulate the water output.

The adjustment range is: OFF → Maximum

Turn toward OFF to reduce or stop the water flow.

Turn toward Maximum to increase the water flow.


Before Regular Use

Check that:

  • The garden hose is securely connected.
  • The rubber washer is correctly installed.
  • There is no visible leakage.
  • The spray head is fully rotated into the selected position.
  • The nozzle is not visibly damaged.
  • Water pressure does not exceed 116 PSI.
