RAINPOINT TFG-25 – Installation & Use

This article explains how to correctly connect and use the RAINPOINT TFG-25 Fabric Garden Hose.

Before You Start

Before turning on the water:

  • Place the hose on the ground.
  • Completely unwind the coiled hose.
  • Make sure the hose is not tangled or folded.
  • Check the tap connection and rubber washer.
  • Make sure all connectors are securely installed.

Step 1: Fully Unwind the Hose

Place the TFG-25 on the ground and completely unwind the coiled hose.

Recommended Method

Gently twist the rolled-up hose while unwinding it.

Do not pull the hose directly away from the coil while it is still tightly rolled.

This helps reduce tangling.

Step 2: Connect the Hose to the Tap

Connect the end with the tap connector to the water source.

The manual illustrates use with:

  • Rubber washer
  • 1/2" or 3/4" tap connector
  • 3/4" hose connector

Make sure the connection is correctly aligned and secure.

Step 3: Connect a Spray Nozzle if Needed

Attach a compatible spray nozzle to the other end of the hose.

Note: The spray nozzle is not included with the 3-meter TFG-25 version.

Step 4: Turn On the Water

Once the hose is fully uncoiled and all connections are secure, slowly turn on the tap.

If a spray nozzle is installed, select the desired spray pattern as needed.

How to Help Prevent Leakage at the Tap

If leakage occurs at the tap connection, the manual recommends:

  1. Turn off the water.
  2. Disconnect the hose.
  3. Wrap PTFE (Teflon) tape around the tap threads.
  4. Or install an additional rubber washer to improve the seal.
  5. Reconnect the hose.
  6. Turn the water back on and check the connection.

Important Use Tips

Keep the Hose Fully Uncoiled

Make sure the hose is not:

  • Tangled
  • Folded
  • Sharply bent

A folded or tangled section may restrict water flow.

Pick Up the Hose When Moving It

When relocating the hose, pick it up and carry it where practical.

Avoid dragging it across:

  • Hard surfaces
  • Sharp surfaces

This helps reduce abrasion and damage to the fabric outer layer.

Avoid Pulling Directly from a Tight Coil

Unwind the hose gradually rather than pulling one end while the rest remains tightly rolled.
